Have you recently received an invitation to your high school reunion? Firs thing is first: Don’t panic. Getting an invitation to your high school reunion may be overwhelming, if only for the fact that it has been some-odd years since you graduate high school or, in other words, since you were eighteen. A reunion is meant to be an enjoyable event, something you can use as a mile stone to celebrate how far you have come from your awkward teenage years. A lot of alumni would never think of attending a reunion, but most who do always appreciate the experience. It allows you to reflect on yourself and your former friends and alumni. And these days, it’s never been easier to prepare yourself for the reunion of a lifetime. Most reunion invitations will come in the mail, but sometimes you can receive a reunion invite in your email. Either way, always RSVP. It’s only courteous. You can look up your alumni friends to see who else is going. Contact the organizer of the reunion and see who else has RSVP-ed. If you get on their good side, they may even give you their contact info so you can write them or call them up. Sometimes it’s easier to attend a reunion when you break the ice beforehand with a few other alumni friends. Regardless, a reunion should be a time for you to reconnect! Enjoy it. |
